If you have lost a considerable amount of weight, you may have droopy, excess skin that hangs on certain regions of your body. This can occur after weight loss in both men and women. Some of the other factors that can contribute to this unwanted problem include the gravity pull of aging, excessive sun exposure, and pregnancy. Whatever the case may be, I look forward to helping you look and feel your best. A body lift surgical procedure may be just what you need to improve your shape and gain greater self-confidence. Body lift surgery tightens the skin of the upper body, lower body, or both.
The upper body lift (thoracic lift) is best for individuals whose excess amount of sagging skin and fat is predominantly present in their upper torso. This may include the arms, armpits, chest, back, and/or breasts. I will lift and sculpt the exact areas of the body that need recontouring.
A lower body lift is designed to remove sagging skin from areas such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks. Also known as “belt lipectomy,” a lower body lift can greatly help to reduce the fullness, or padding, of excess skin and tissue on the lower body. Depending on the patient’s individual circumstance and aesthetic goals, this procedure may be combined with abdominal muscle tightening.
The full body lift procedure is intended to tighten the thighs, buttocks, and abdomen all at once. If a patient has excess skin in the lower torso, buttocks and thighs it is typically more cost-effective and convenient (less recovery time) to undergo full body lift surgery than separate procedures. No matter the body lift I perform, I strive to provide a natural-looking appearance with surgical scars placed as inconspicuous as possible.
