Obesity Linked to Plastic Surgery Risks

In a recent study released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons it was found that patients identified as obese were more likely to require emergency care following plastic surgery. The study looked at patients who had undergone tummy tuck surgery, liposuction, breast reduction, and blepharoplasty and found that those with a BMI that would quality as obese were 72 percent more likely to encounter postsurgical complications.
